Building your house and Parent Involvement

Greetings! 

We cannot wait to meet in advisory in just under two weeks.  This is going to be an awesome year- I can sense it. 

The theme for Middle School Advisory this year is “BUILD THE HOUSE YOU WANT TO LIVE IN”.  What does this mean to you?  What daily actions help to “build” a strong foundation / house / life?  How can you do it? Who in your life will help you? What problems will arise and how will you cope with them?  

As advisors, we are NOT your project manager- YOU ARE! :-) We play a part in your life, but you are ultimately in control of your choices, actions, and your path.  Advisors can remind you of your goals, be there when life events crash down on you, and stand by your side with each and every “win”.  

PARENTS: 

ESM is starting it’s first Parent Advisory Support Group. 

The group is open to all 6th-8th grade parents and family members who want to have conversations monthly surrounding all kinds of advisory / middle school topics! For example, digital citizenship, kindness, relationships, effective habits of teenagers, family dynamics, and navigating a new adult(ish) world coming soon in High School.
