Welcome to the ESM Advisory Blog.
The purpose of this thing? To bring all the elements of advisory to life. Students and advisors will post activity reflections, random moments from Friday mornings and photos of what it means to connect and be together.Advisors are the advocates, mentors, life coaches and support systems hanging on with you throughout the middle school ride. Middle school is messy, bumpy and confusing. It is also exciting, fun, awesome, and full of life. Advisors are happy to be there through it all. Advisors, parents and students work as a pyramid of strength to set personal and academic goals and work to achieve them! We are equipped with coping skills and we have seen how learning from mistakes is more important than being perfect.
The Middle Years are a time when minds and bodies grow faster and more erratically than any other time in one’s life. Systems of support like advisory and families are here to be by the student's side during the journey.
